How to Fight Internet Addiction

Firstly, understand that internet addiction is an addiction. This means, when you don't use the internet you should feel cravings to use the internet. Be aware that you need to fight these cravings.

Keep innovating. Keep striving to get rid of your internet addiction! YEAH!

1. Internet wishlist in Notepad.

Example.
When you crave to do something on the internet, type it in a Notepad document.
Alternatively, just use Sticky Notes.

I prefer to use real, paper notepads instead of the Notepad program in computer since I find it easier to control my internet addiction by printing out stuff that I need to read or simply reading at a computer lab computer, and also by putting my laptop way out of my immediate reach [up in my cupboard]

I failed this 'no internet day' ...

2. Make it tougher for you to reach your internet browser. For example, delete the shortcut to Google Chrome on your desktop.

3. Set a time to use the internet. It's a lot easier to tell yourself "Alright I plan to look for giant cat on youtube at 8pm" and writing it on Notepad instead of completely suppressing your internet cravings.

4. Save material offline. If you suddenly need Wikipedia during your study session, just save as PDF. Avoid using internet browser, it triggers my internet addiction.

5. Use Stayfocusd.
SPECIAL Stayfocusd TIP: How to put every single website possible in the Stayfocusd block list? Just add *.

6. Avoid using the computer even for offline stuff
7. Record how many hours of internet you use a day
8. Make your laptop/computer hard to reach, and switch to paper as much as possible.
9. Have an internet to-dolist (which you write in a real notepad, and not on your computer).
Then, an hour a day or an hour a week, use the internet at a set time (form the habit).
10. You could use the computer at a different location when trying to change habits. For example, you might feel hopelessly addicted and feel it difficult to change your habits when you use the internet in your room. However, it might be extremely easy to quit the addiction by  just using the internet at the computer lab (or anywhere other than your room) from 9am-10am everyday and only focusing on the stuff on your to-do list. (When you get wonderful ideas of stuff to do on the internet, you write it down on your 'internet to-do list' and accumulate stuff to do throughout your day, and then just do it all at once at 9am-10am. Of course, you change the amount of internet time you allocate to yourself according to how much you need/want to use.)
